What Shield It reads

When you click Scan, the Shield It browser extension reads the App Store Connect or Google Play Console pages for the app you have open, using your existing sign-in. It only reads pages on appstoreconnect.apple.com and play.google.com/console. It never changes, submits or deletes anything in your developer accounts.

What stays on your computer

Scan results, reports and the app description you type are stored only in your browser's local extension storage. They are not sent to our servers unless you use an AI feature.

What is sent to our server

• A random install code that identifies your credit balance. We store only a one-way hash of it. It is not linked to your name or your Apple or Google account.
• When you use an AI feature: the app description you wrote, the store listing text from your scan, and scan findings. This is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the result and is not stored by Shield It. We keep only a usage record (feature used, credits spent, token counts, time).
• A hash of your IP address when you first install, used only to prevent abuse of free credits.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. We store the PayPal order or subscription ID, amount and status to add credits to your account.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Data is shared only with Anthropic (to process AI requests you make), PayPal (to process payments you start) and Cloudflare (which hosts our server).

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension deletes everything stored in your browser. To delete your server record and credit balance, contact lacey@jaebird9thlabs.com with your recovery code.
